Note to recruit coaches

If coaching is part of the strategy, coaches are needed. The Move Identify and recruit coaches is all about identifying and recruiting coaches. While recruiting may be done verbally through calls and meetings, if your preference is for written correspondence, an example is provided. At worst, its content is a base ready as cue notes for the conversation(s).
The objective of the recruiting letter is to support discussions. It needs to both inform the recruit of the expectations and outline the support(s) (s)he will receive. To some extent, it is also selling, needing that kind of flair.

Example

To help ensure <<project>> success, the project team will provide support through "coaches."

Coaches are trusted colleagues that are knowledgeable about the change and can be the real-time "go-to" for advice and answers because everyone affected by change has to properly adopt the necessary changes. You are just such a trusted colleague and we are excited to have you on board.
Being a peer coach is a temporary assignment during the expected <<#>>-day transition period following launch. There are only three obligations.

  1. Be knowledgeable about and model the change
  2. Be willing and able to help colleagues through their own behaviour change(s).
  3. Be proactive about assisting shy or reluctant teammates.

To ensure you are ready and prepared to put your natural talents to work, <<project>> will:

  • provide early training on the how's, what's, and why's of , so you can answer any question about it;
  • provide techniques for identifying and helping colleagues having difficulty; and
  • be available to support you in person, remotely, or with tools whenever you ask.
  • Thank you for pitching in. We'll contact you again shortly to schedule coach the coach.
